49. Pizza, Beer, and Testimonials / by An

I had class on a boathouse today. Every year one of the professors who teaches my urban design & planning class invites his students over to his boathouse to do our final class presentations. The assignment was to present a two minute testimonial about a real/hypothetical change in the built environment that has public health implications. A potentially stressful thing to prepare for, especially in the midst of everything else during the last week of the quarter, but take away the traditional classroom setting and add the pizza and beer and you've got yourself a pretty agreeable situation. And to think I considered dropping this class because it was only offered 5-7pm.
