Umm, where the heck did the time go? One minute it feels like August is forever away, and now I'm panicking because I don't have any time left! I leave on Sunday, which means there are three more days to do all the homework that I've managed to put off for the past two months. It means there are three more days for me to pack in all the Washington-y summery things I want to do (a bonfire at Golden Gardens being one) before the cold (and classes -.-) come back.

But even though I'll miss enjoying the Northwest sunshine and the shows that are coming to town (Beirut, Tallest Man, Head and the Heart), I am itching to get out. There must be something in my brain that goes off about every two years that beckons me to go far away from home. It must have started when I was younger when my mom would take me to Vietnam every other summer to see family. Since that trip usually takes place in June/July, Peru will be a little overdue. It will be a welcoming change of pace to be somewhere completely new and to know that everything I will need for a month will either come from my brain or my backpack. Let's hope I packed well.
